Museum Maintenance Closure – September 29, 2016

Do not miss the last chance to see the “Framed: Step into Art” exhibit at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum on Saturday, September 24, 2016.  The museum will be closed on Thursday, September 29 for some exhibit work. On Friday, September 30, 2016 the museum will open its new exhibit, “Joshua Tree National Park: The science laboratory in your backyard” with a reception and a keynote speaker.

Join us for a day of Halloween-themed games and activities at the Yucca Valley Community Center.

Museum closed for Maintenance

The Hi-Desert Nature will be closed from September 17 through September 30, 2015.

It will reopen again on October 1, 2015 with the “Convincing the Nation” exhibit.

EARTH DAY – April 18

In honor of Earth Day, the Hi-Desert Nature Museum will celebrate the diversity of life on earth with a day of activities that will inform, educate and entertain visitors. Local experts will be on hand to provide demonstrations on composting, gardening with California native plants, growing your own food, and recycling. Local artists will offer jewelry and hand-made crafts for sale.  Maker stations will introduce you to new crafts. This family-oriented event includes kids’ activities, face painting, live music, dance performances, and much more.

Yucca Valley’s Got Talent is designed to showcase talented performance artists

in the Morongo Basin,providing a fun and supportive environment.

All ages and skill levels are encouraged to apply.
