Closed for Thanksgiving Holiday

The Hi-Desert Nature Museum will be closed on Thanksgiving Day (November 22, 2018) and the Day after Thanksgiving (November 23, 2018). The Museum will be open on Saturday (November 24, 2018).

We wish everybody a great Thanksgiving!

 

Expanded Opening Hours

 

The Hi-Desert Nature Museum has extended its hours! We are now open Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Enjoy great exhibits, air-conditioning and friendly staff.   We are looking forward to seeing you!

Family Fun Day – July 28, 2018

Visit the GIANT TOY Arcade at this TOY-themed Family Fun Day! Enjoy a wide variety of games and craft activities for all ages as well as face painting, a scavenger hunt and explore the amazing “Toys – The Inside Story” exhibit.  This event is FREE and will keep the whole family engaged for hours!

Santa Visit, Craft Faire, Snow Play Day – December 2, 2017

Take the whole family out for a pleasant winter outing  at the Community Center.  Enjoy shopping for some unique gifts at the annual Holiday Craft Faire, which are all hand-made by talented local artisans.  All through the event door prizes will be awarded.     

Bring your camera and visit Santa at the Museum, where he is looking forward to visiting with children. 

A big heap of real snow is waiting for the young outside and with hot cocoa and cookies in the courtyard, the holiday season is in full swing!

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Museum Maintenance Closure – September 29, 2016

Do not miss the last chance to see the “Framed: Step into Art” exhibit at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum on Saturday, September 24, 2016.  The museum will be closed on Thursday, September 29 for some exhibit work. On Friday, September 30, 2016 the museum will open its new exhibit, “Joshua Tree National Park: The science laboratory in your backyard” with a reception and a keynote speaker.
