Family Fun Days
Attending events with children is a great way
to make memories as a family!
Every June, the Hi-Desert Nature Museum and the Recreation Department offer a large Family Fun Day in coordination with the museum’s interactive summer exhibit. The Museum and Community Center have been transformed into a transportation hub, magic show, dinosaur wonderland, artistic Paris, a farm, a huge toy land and much more. We hope to see you for the next big adventure!
Halloween Spooktacular
“Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and cauldron bubble.”
The Saturday before Halloween, the Hi-Desert Nature Museum and Yucca Valley Community Center undergo a mystical transformation. Ghosts, ghouls, witches, monsters, and other mysterious creatures are ready to bewitch you in the HAUNTED MANSION. Grab your bag for some TRICK or TREATING, change your persona and show off your best moves at the COSTUME CONTEST, or get spookily artistic doing some CRAFTS. We always look forward to seeing as many visitors as possible for some spooky fun!
Activities are geared to not frighten young children, so all ages are welcome!
