Earth with its many resources has provided a rich quality of life for untold generations. However, today’s environmental issues are eminent, and those resources are no longer what was perceived to be infinite.
This realization begs the question:
“What can each of us do to live sustainably?”
Perhaps you have heard the saying, “Think globally, act locally.”
What does that actually mean?
It means that environmental stewardship begins as a community-based effort and that each of us can take part in simple, yet effective ways to help preserve Earth’s natural resources. Every action counts.
This exhibition is meant to raise awareness about our “throw-away” society. It is a community-based effort that aims at removing litter from our desert, and in return share individuals’ innovative and often surprising use of discarded items to create fine works of art.
While perusing the exhibition, be sure to stop and think about how you can make a difference.
