The Hi-Desert Nature Museum is an active collecting institution and is continuously striving to acquire regional treasures for preservation and that help to educate our visitors.
The Museum is accepting the following items that are especially relevant within the High Desert and Morongo Basin region: *
Photographs, publications and documents related to local sites, events or historic figures dating prior to 1970
Artifacts related to local sites, events or historic figures dating prior to 1970
Memorabilia related to local events such as Grubstakes
Artifacts related to homesteading, ranching and mining in the Mojave Desert
Original artwork from the artists Kirk Martin, Howard Pierce, or John Hilton

Items subject to accession by the Hi-Desert Nature Museum will undergo a formal process, which includes documentation and approval by the Town of Yucca Valley’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Commission. All items must be rightfully owned by the donor and ethically sourced.
