Join the Hi-Desert Nature Museum and community partners for a meaningful Earth Day Celebration dedicated to environmental awareness and sustainability!

Free for all ages!

Event highlights include:

  • Plant Giveaway – Take home a new plant from the Plant Parenthood booth.
  • Eco-Friendly Activities – Create a seed bomb using native seeds, interact with local insects and learn how to build an insect hotel.
  • Upcycling Stations – Bring a t-shirt to screen print or select discarded items from the upcycling station to transform into something new.
  • Education – Visit partner booths to learn more about how you can help our planet!

Diana Shay Diehl of Mojave Light Studios will be teaching how to paint with the shadows of natural materials like leaves, flowers and feathers using the photographic medium of cyanotype. Cactus Flower has generously provided the flower materials for these projects.

Visit the amazing partner booths to learn more about environmental stewardship, conservation, local plant life, and more!  Booths will be set up for Burrtec Waste Management, Hi-Desert Water District, Joshua Tree National Park, The Living Desert, Mil-Tree, Morongo Basin Conservation Association, Morongo Basin Activists, and Plant Parenthood!
