Your Backyard Food Chain

We are very lucky that in the Morongo Basin we are never far away from open land, where plants and animals can exist naturally.  However, there is already a lot going on in your own backyard, regardless of where you live. This week we will explore all the action that is happening right outside your door. We will start by asking questions about which plants and animals live there, what they need to survive, and how each living thing contributes to the Web of Life.  We will learn about the cycle of life by exploring the producers and consumers that inhabit our desert ecosystem.
